Steps to Receiving Your Report:

1. Order: After placing your order, we’ll mail you the HTMA kit in a trackable USPS Ground Advantage envelope (not a box). It includes:

   • Lab submittal form

   • Hair sample envelope

   • Cardboard scale (approx. 1 heaping tablespoon of hair)

   • Detailed instructions on how to take the sample

2. International Clients (incl. Canada): You’ll receive sampling and submission instructions via email. If you'd like the kit mailed, please contact us at 520-877-2637 (additional shipping fee applies).

3. Hair Sample Collection:

   • Use clean, dry hair cut from the first 1.5 inches closest to the scalp, from several locations. Proximal portion is retained for your sample and end pieces of hair strands discarded.

   • Recently colored hair is acceptable, if dye/treatment was chemically based and contains NO minerals. Dyes like Grecian Formula and henna contain lead acetate or mineral salts with metals - they will make your test results invalid.

   • Avoid taking samples after using softened water. Hair should be washed at least 3x in non-softened water.

   • Submit at least 125 mg of hair (use the scale and add a little extra to ensure enough is sent).

4. Mail Your Sample to the Lab:

   • Send your sample and signed submittal form to Trace Elements, Inc. using the pre-addressed envelope.

   • We recommend using trackable shipping (Ground Advantage or Priority Mail).

   • Your form is already signed by Evenbetternow®—no doctor’s signature is needed.

5. Receiving Results:

   • The lab typically processes your sample within 7–12 days of receipt.

   • You’ll receive your PDF results within 2 business days of us receiving the lab report.

   • If you added a consult, you'll be invited to a client portal to view results and schedule your session.

   • Printed paper reports (if requested) arrive in 7–10 days (international shipping may take longer).
